Later on both the Geezer and Osbourne reunited for creating a new band named the Polka Tulk Blues, with the guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward as their co-members.
In August 1969 they changed their band name into Black Sabbath, the name which inspired them after the release of a movie with the same title. Their music style was quite different, as they focused on heavy blue style music, which had gloomier and darker lyrics. Their first single was released in January 1970 named “Evil Woman”.
Their band was a pure commercial success, their albums paranoid, master of reality, and volume 4 had great commercial success. Both the master of reality and volume 4 got certified the gold status within a very few time after its release. The first album which brought a very positive review was the album named “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” which was released in 1973, and this was also known as the 5th consecutive platinum album in the United States.
But due to misfortune Ozzy was fired from his band in April 1979 by his bandmates; they claim their reason behind this decision was his unreliable behavior and excessive or abusive usage of drugs. After that Ozzy became a part of jet records with the recommendation of Don Arden. And in 1979 itself Ozzy created a new band named Blizzard of Oz in Los Angeles, California.
Their debut album “Blizzard of Oz” was released in 1980 which was solely and completely credited to Osbourne and also which became the opening to his solo career. After that, he had released lots of works, and his solo work was released on February 21, 2020, named ordinary man.
Other Ventures And Projects
During the time of mid-1990s Ozzy was the one who started a metal festival named ozzfest, which he continued and also tried to perform on an occasional basis. The main manager of this fest is his wife/ manager Sharon Osbourne and assisted by his own son Jack. This fest has already welcomed around five million attendees which will add up to a price of 100 dollar million.
Because of this fest, Osbourne became the first hard rock and heavy metal star to hit 50 million dollars in merchandise sales. This particular family also had their own television reality show which was named the Osbournes on MTV. Which played for around 3 years from 2002 -2005.

In 1971, in a nightclub in Birmingham Osbourne met his first wife named Thelma Riley and they got married that very same year. They have 2 children and Ozzy also adopted Thelma’s son from her previous relationship but during the course of time, they divorced.
